RAFAH – 5 April 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) on Sunday dispatched its 170th “Zad Al-Izzah from Egypt to Gaza” aid convoy, carrying thousands of tons of food, relief supplies, and fuel, while also receiving a new group of injured Palestinians.
In a statement, the ERC said the convoy delivered around 3,290 tons of aid to Gaza.
These include 1,180 tons of food baskets, 650 tons of relief materials, and 1,460 tons of petroleum products to support hospitals and other vital facilities in the strip.
To help mitigate the impact of severe weather, the ERC also sent 3,640 winter clothing items, 3,930 mattresses, 3,456 tarpaulins, and more than 1,000 tents to shelter those affected.
Meanwhile, the ERC received the 30th group of Palestinians, including patients arriving for treatment in Egypt and others departing after receiving medical care, along with their companions, and facilitated their crossing procedures.
The organization also distributed hot meals, warm clothing, and personal care supplies to Palestinians, including assistance for those returning to the Gaza Strip.
